Picturesque and historic Richmond, only 15 minutes drive from the capital Hobart, is the oldest surviving town in Tasmania. In Richmond is found the oldest bridge in Australia, the oldest Roman Catholic church (surrounded by beautiful parks and the peaceful Richmond River), and oldest postal building in Australia.
