Travel with a Cause Inc (TWAC) is a fully registered, insured
international travel agency specifically created to pour its profits into third
world & developing countries and, other "worthy causes" as defined by our
mission statement. Due to the changing nature of the world the projects we
support vary over time. This being the case, please contact us to
enquire as to which projects we currently support. Our not for profit status means that
by law, 100% of our travel agency's net profits are
given away instead of going to company owners,
directors, or shareholders. This means that when you book your
travel through us (wherever or whenever you travel), you'll have the
satisfaction that your travel through us has at least assisted what our directors
believe are worthy activities. No matter where you want to travel, whether it's an
Australian domestic flight or holiday, a luxury cruise or an
international travel destination, Travel With A Cause Inc can easily
manage your travel arrangements for you.
Travel With A Cause: Vision
Conceived after its founding
directors visited countries like
Fiji and Zambia, the company's vision is to do its utmost to meet unmet fiscal
and other needs in third world countries and in the
Developed Nations of the world too. Travel With
a Cause already sponsors schools in Fiji, Zambia and more.
Likewise we choose to server those
organisations that we consider "make a difference" in countries other than those
designated by the OECD as "Developing Countries". Hence our mission included
sponsorship to missions undertaken by various groups undertaking Australian
indigenous groups, Camp Quality, YWAM, Fusion International and others. Please
ask us for details.
Why not choose to make a difference when you travel? You can make a
difference because if you book your holiday or corporate travel
arrangements through us, you'll know that profits from your trips will
flow to persons and places in need. Think about it.

Travel With A Cause: Directors
When two of our founding directors (Jane & Paul Evans)
visited Fiji they were
astounded by the poverty they encountered and decided to provide a mechanism by
which the "back" of poverty might be broken. Likewise one of our other founding directors
(Richard Parker) visited Zambia, and was overwhelmed by
the unmet need he confronted. Richard has decided to live out his days committed
to ameliorating the poverty and unmet need that he encountered in Zambia and
similar countries. Following these experiences, TWAC was conceived in 2006.
Initially focussed on supporting OECD-designated "Developing Countries" in Nov
2009 the Board extended its sponsorship pool & mission to include humanitarian
work in developed countries as well as supporting organisations like Youth With
A Mission (YWAM).
Directors receive no remuneration for their work as TWAC Board members. To the contrary, Board members (Directors) have to pay for the privilege to oversee, guide & implement TWAC's vision by means of Directors' contributions to Annual Membership Fees. (TWAC Membership is compulsory only for Directors).
Our vision includes providing rice farms, generators, school libraries, teaching
staff, and even more resources to
impoverished schools in Zambia and other OECD-recognised Developing
Countries. From Nov 2009 we are also available to support humanitarian works,
community development projects and missions undertaken from or in Developing
Nations like Australia.
So how can you help?
Firstly, you can choose to book
your travel through us. No matter where you travel you'll be satisfied that just
by booking through us you'll have helped somewhere in the world, someone who is
probably less fortunate than yourself. We also support organisations like Youth
With A Mission (YWAM) and Mobile Mission Maintenance International (MMM).
Secondly, you can travel with us to places like Zambia and in doing so
you can meet face to face the people that your trip helps fund (see
Overseas Community Volunteer Tours for examples).
Thirdly, if you have skills and experience, why not travel and spend some of your time working on the projects that we are sponsoring? Are you a Medical Practitioner? A Dentist? An Optometrist? A Builder? A Cook? An Artist? A home renovator? Any skill you have can be used to great effect in the third world countries we are sponsoring. You just have to choose to make a difference. Whenever and wherever your travel, if you book through Travel With A Cause, you will make a difference because the profits derived from your trip will flow through to places that really need your assistance.
Fourthly, you can donate spare cash to our projects. Australian Citizens can claim legitimate tax deductions for gifts to some of our projects. Just ask us for more details as we are constantly moving forward in this area. If tax-deductibility is not important to you, then you are assured that 100% of your donation will go to the project of your choice. Tax-deductible donations incur a 10% administration fee which is provided to over-arching organisation (World Relief Australia Inc.) which provides to TWAC its tax-deductible status. TWAC never withholds donation money for itself and 100% non tax-deductible donations received by TWAC are passed on to its sponsored projects.
Finally, you can become a member of TWAC and your membership fees will go towards supporting various projects and/or offset operating expenses of our organisation. Membership is optional, and membership details can be found on our membership information page.
