East Coast Tasmania
The fine white quartz sands of Tasmania's East Coast produce the finest, clearest Aqua water in the world. The aqua hue affords the traveller stunning photographic images and the crystal clear waters provide indelible memories of this pristine environment. Why not visit Orford, Maria Island, Swansea, Bicheno, Freycinet Peninsula or Coles Bay National Park and soak in the absolutely stunning scenery. East coast fishing ports proffer Tasmania's best blue water fishing and when the warmer currents flow down from the East Coast of Australia, watch out for some fantastic blue water fishing. The east coast makes a great base for fishing, diving, or even visiting the historic convict ruins on magnificent Maria Island National Park. Get ready to be absorbed by the wild dolphins, cheeky sea birds and local penguin populations. Bicheno hosts a sea life park plus a bird life & animal park. The east coast doesn't lack in wilderness value and its pristine rivers & beaches are simply the best the world has on offer.
The East Coast of Tasmania is growing into a major tourist destination that will fascinate and enthrall the most ardent travellor.
